Step-By-Step Instructions
- First, get all of your ingrediants together along with your measuring spoons. Alot of times I end up being so impatient that I find myself run around getting each ingredient around the kitchen as I go through the steps. This way you're saving time and stay in one spot.
- Start out by measuring out the dry ingredients. Beginning with 4 tbsps of flour, pour this along with all following dry ingredients in whatever mug you're using, preferably at least 12 onces due to the required baking room needed.
- Next comes the sugar, of which I like to use ~3-4 tbsps, depending on whether or not I'm in the mood replace 1 tbsp of sugar with brown sugar.
- After that add in your 2 tbsps of cocoa powder!!! This is what's going to make this whole thing worth it! Alot of recipes I've tried recommend unsweetened, which if one wants to be healthy they can, but, as someone with a sweet tooth, I personally enjoy the sweetened versions sometimes!
- Next is 1/8th tsp of baking powder. Obviously needed if we want our cake to rise! You can also sprinkle in some salt or some cinnamon depending on your taste/mood! I like to add both because I am beholdent to no one.
- Now moving onto the wet ingredients, mix these in a seperate dish!!!! I highly suggest this as I find everything mixes better together when dry and liquid ingredients are each mixed seperatley and then combined together. Starting first with the milk, of which you will need 3 tbsps!
- Then we add 1 tbsp of water. I usually just measure this buy walking over to the sink, pouring the water directly from the faucet, and then slowly walking over to my mug which is back at my ingredients station, trying not to spill it and have to start over.
- After that its time to measure out 2 tbsps of olive oil. You can technically can use whatever type of oil you want, for instance vegetable oil, but I prefer olive oil since that's usually what my pantery stored growing up making this in highschool!
- Then comes the vanilla extract! This is the other sweet component I like to go the extra mile on, usually adding 1/4th-1/2th tsps depending on my sweets cravings! Now is also a good time to fold in your 2-3 tbsps of chocolate chips!
- Now its time to shove all this into the microwave! A quick 2 minutes will usually do the trick, making sure to stick a toothpick inside to see if the center is cooked or not! Once cooked to your satisfaction, join myself on a late night web surf and enjoy!! :3
